In February 2023 I came up with the idea to design an Italy x Michelangelo concept jersey. The jersey’s print pays homage to some of Michelangelo’s most famous works: The Statue of David, The Sistine Chapel, The Creation of Adam and La Pieta. While the Tricolore neck and sleeve cuffs take inspiration from Italy’s 1996 training kit.

After the 3D render of the shirt attracted a lot of positive attention on X and Instagram, the guys from Italian Football TV (IFTV) contacted me to bring the concept to life. And so it happened. The unique design, the high-quality fabrics, the luxurious packaging in combination with the beautiful product photography and social content make this bespoke Italy jersey a true collector’s item.

With a pre-order launched just before the EURO 2024, the jersey sold out in no time. The restock? Sold out within a few days. Because that’s what happens when Calcio meets Art.
